Wastewater treatment and Recovery in YAZBEK - Mexico
YAZBEK (COMERCIALIZADORA Y DISTRIBUIDORA ZAY, S.A. DE C.V.) is a PES and Cotton dyeing house located in San José Iturbide, Guanajuato. The maximum daily flow that enters the factory is 3000 m3/d.
Before the installation of our water treatment plant, YAZBEK had a filtration system that consisted of: Chemical-Physical treatment, traditional biological treatment and Reverse Osmosis System. At the end of 2020, we completed the assembly and installation of the New treatment plant, so YAZBEK decided in 2021 to make a gradual passage starting with the use of both plants at the same time until completely eliminating the "Chemical-Physical" plant by mid-October, leaving only our biological plant in operation.
Thanks to our wastewater treatment and recovery plant, YAZBEK could recover up to 70% of the water that would normally end up down the drain. Currently only 40% of the water is recovered, due to the size of the Reverse Osmosis system (which was part of the previous existing plant).

Real operating costs of our Innovative Biological Treatment Plant compared to other systems
In 2017 IDROSISTEM got in contact with a Dyeing House in Peru. This company needed a water treatment and recovery system to treat the wastewater produced each day.
At that time, Idrosistem presented them with a quotation for a plant that included a biological treatment and an ozone decoloration system. In this quotation, an estimation of the average operating costs borne by a system of this type was established, based on the experience acquired by Idrosistem in its more than 300 plants installed throughout the world.
After many meetings and negotiations, the Dyeing House finally decided to buy an electrocoagulation system offered by another company that provided the same operating costs as our plant. This case study describes the real operating costs of this particular electrocoagulation plant in comparison to our Biological Treatment Plant, based on facts and data acquired during the past years (2017-2021).
The case study demonstrates that the operating cost of an Electrocoagulation system is approximately 3 times higher than that of a Biological and Ozone Decoloration system. Please feel free to download the complete Case Study Report from the link below.
Water Recovery in CASW - El Salvador (former Hilcasa)
CASW (Hilcasa) is a textile company having one of its production sites in Apopa, a city in El Salvador. The maximum daily flow rate entering the dyeing facility is 1500 m3/d. Thanks to Idrosistem’s wastewater treatment and recovery system, Hilcasa is able to reuse up to 70% of the incoming water.
The water coming out of the dyeing facility enters a biological oxidation plant, which purifies it as to reach European limit values for discharge into the environment.
In addition to drastically reducing the industry’s water withdrawal from the environment, water recovery enables businesses to significantly cut down the share of costs related to raw water extraction, conditioning and purchase. Moreover, during the last years, the area where Hilcasa is located is facing a severe lack of water.
