Industries of Application

Our technology implemented in many sectors

Our commitment to excellence spans various sectors, allowing us to tailor our solutions to meet the unique needs of each industry. Explore how our expertise can benefit your industry and drive success.

Textile and Dyeing Houses

Our cutting-edge technology is engineered to significantly reduce operational costs while ensuring full compliance with the most stringent environmental standards, including GRS, ZDHC, and ZLD. We help industries turn wastewater treatment into a strategic advantage—enhancing sustainability, optimizing performance, and reinforcing environmental responsibility.

Our high-efficiency systems are capable of recovering up to 85–90% of discharged water, paving the way toward achieving Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD). This not only minimizes ecological impact but also delivers measurable savings in water consumption and management. Partner with us to implement tailor-made solutions that go beyond compliance—driving long-term value and creating a more sustainable future for your business.

Spunlace and Nonwovens

In the spunlace (hydroentanglement) industry, water quality is critical. The presence of suspended solids, residual fibers, polyester avivage, and finishing products can severely impact the process. Clogged jet strips caused by these impurities lead to production delays and higher maintenance, while streaks in the fabric compromise the quality and consistency of the final nonwoven product.

To address these challenges, Idrosistem has developed a custom water treatment solution combining the BAF (Band Float) machine, and our patented Sand Filtration technologies. This advanced system ensures the effective removal of contaminants, stabilizing production, preserving fabric quality, and supporting sustainable, cost-efficient operations tailored to the demands of the spunlace sector.

Denim Dyeing & Laundries

The production of denim involves intensive water and chemical usage, especially during the dyeing phase, where large volumes of caustic soda and indigo dye are employed. These effluents are highly polluting and, if untreated, can severely damage aquatic ecosystems. Idrosistem offers advanced filtration technologies, including ultrafiltration systems specifically designed to recover caustic soda from dyeing wastewater. This not only reduces the environmental impact of denim production but also allows significant cost savings by recovering and reusing chemicals within the cycle.

In the denim washing phase, water quality varies across different stages. Thanks to extensive testing, our R&D team has identified specific washing steps that produce effluents of sufficiently good quality to be treated and recirculated. By integrating our tailored filtration systems, these water streams can be segregated and returned directly into the process. This approach dramatically lowers freshwater consumption and overall discharge volumes—supporting both sustainability targets and process efficiency in denim finishing operations.

Food and Dairy Products

Idrosistem stands as a premier authority wastewater treatment for the food industry, with a particular focus on dairy processing. Our cutting-edge solutions (including Dissolved Air Flotation - DAF) are crafted to efficiently manage and treat wastewater, thereby minimizing environmental impact.

Utilizing advanced technologies and sustainable practices, we guarantee adherence to strict regulations while fostering eco-friendly operations. Rely on Idrosistem to improve the sustainability and efficiency of your dairy facilities through our customized wastewater management systems, paving the way for a cleaner and greener future.

PET recycling and Recovery

Idrosistem supplies, since many years, plants that are able to treat the wastewater coming from PET recycling. For instance for “bottle to bottle” plants where wasted plastic bottles are recovered from the landfill, then grinded, cleaned  using chemicals  and then transformed in new PET chips for the creation of new bottles. This kind of waste water has a very high COD, due to the dirt that is on the external part of the bottles, as well as for liquid and chemical residuals.

Our system is able to recover up to 90% of this wastewater, discharging the rest (10%) in full respect of the local and European legislations. Idrosistem technical experts have also developed a system that makes it possible to recover the chemical products (caustic soda) and heats used during the cleaning phase of the recovered material (Hot recovery); which dramatically reduces the OPEX costs for any Pet recycling company.

Steel and Iron Production

Steel industry can be quite vast (integrated mills, minimills, finishing mills) but every type of plants need water for the same variety of purposes: Material conditioning (12% of water used), Air pollution control (13% of water used), and effective Heat control (75% of water used).

Water can be recycled at a different rate in every operation and it can be as much as 90% in some of them.

Idrosistem designs and builds wastewater treatment plants and cooling plants for the various types and processes of the steel industry that aim to reduce the water consumption and increase the amount of water being recycled.

Paper Mills

The cellulose pulp (raw material) and the paper industry, produce different kind of wastewater. There is also a third related industry, the paper recycling industry, which has a similar kind of discharge water.  The composition of pollutants in effluents of paper mills depend on the kind of raw material that is used for production. Also chemicals like organic fillers (starch, latex), colors and aluminum sulfate are used to make paper of different properties or making the process simpler.

Idrosistem has developed a specialized system (including Dissolved Air Flotation - DAF) for efficiently treating wastewater from paper mills, ensuring environmental preservation. This innovative approach not only meets industry standards but also contributes to a sustainable future by minimizing the ecological impact of paper production.

Wet Wipes

Water, better yet Clean Water is fundamental for the production of wet wipes. It begins with the preparation of a cleansing solution, which is formed by adding relevant ingredients to demineralized and sterilized water. The cleansing solution will be then transported to the converter where it will be used to completely impregnate the tissue material or nonwoven fabric.

Our system combines two specific processes (Demineralization through Reverse Osmosis and Disinfection with Ozone and UVC treatment) and is designed for the special treating of this specific water and is necessary to keep the content completely free from bacteria and pathogens, in order to guarantee the production of high quality products by our customers in the wet wipes industry.
