Flotation Unit (DAF)

The flotation system is the ideal solution when it is necessary to remove substances from water which are, by their nature, lighter than water; which is the case with oils and cellulose fibers.

How does it work?

The flotation unit together with the pressurization system allows, through the dissolved air flotation, the separation of the water from the suspended solids and/or sediment materials.

The flotation is obtained through water pressurization, in which is dissolved a certain quantity of compressed air. After the decompression, this mixture sets the air bubbles free, and these air bubbles are then lumped in the solid flocks and take up to the surface.
